Abstract

Key points

Many patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) have an increased bleeding risk with antiplatelet agents.

Bleeding can be a life‐ending event in our PCI patients, with mortality increased seven times when bleeding occurs.

We urgently need the drug‐coated balloon (DCB) approved for use in the United States.
