Abstract
As few as 1 in 4 people with Klinefelter syndrome are correctly diagnosed. The disease is primarily characterised by hypogonadism and infertility, but a number of other conditions are associated with the syndrome, notably venous thromboembolism. The syndrome therefore has significant implications for health outcomes and quality of life that could be prevented with improved education and prophylactic measures.
