Abstract
SummaryIn this work, the reconfigurable dual‐band wireless power transfer (RDB‐WPT) system is proposed. The studied system allows to transfer power or data in two frequency bands. The first band is tuned from 1.4 to 1.7 GHz while the second band is fixed at 2.17 GHz. The receiver circuit (Rx) is identical to the transmitter circuit (Tx), and they are coupled in back‐to‐back. The feed line is extended with a stub for matching, and it is built on the top layer. The meander line and the rectangular DGS are placed on the ground. The prototype is fabricated with a compact size of 30 × 15 mm2 to be used in small portable electronic devices. The measured efficiencies are 95% at the average of the tuned band and 92% at 2.17 GHz. Good agreements are achieved between the simulation, theoretical studies, and measurements.
