Abstract
AbstractSATAKE MultiMix Corporation developed a new type of pitched paddle impeller for low power consumption turbulent mixing for wastewater treatment and its performance was evaluated by measuring power consumption, mixing time, and particle suspension. The power number of the new impeller was lower than that of the existing pitched paddle, which could be constructed by modifying the correlation equation. For the same power consumption per unit volume, the mixing performance was almost the same as that of other axial flow impellers. The particle suspension performance was also the same as that of other axial flow impellers.
