Abstract
In this paper, we present a new methodology for realizing highly integrated stretchable displays. By utilizing the sidewalls of wiring, it is possible to overcome the limitations of conventional structures and significantly reduce the width of the wiring while maintaining its resistance. The improved aspect ratio also enhances stretchability and the width of the wiring can be further reduced by adjusting its thickness. The developed stretchable wiring with the new structure stably withstands elongation and the resistance change is less than 2%, even after 1000 times repeated elongations with a 50% stretch. By using this wiring scheme, a high‐resolution array with 100 PPI was fabricated that stably stretched to 100%.
