Abstract
We present the field of view (FOV) that can be achieved by near‐eye displays based on polarization volume grating(PVG). The effects of the refractive index and period parameter of PVG‐couplers on the FOV are investigated. In addition, we propose two wide‐FOV near‐eye displays featuring a PVG based dual‐channel waveguide. Both structures use the polarization properties of the PVG to propagate the field of view in separate channels.
