Terrilactibacillus
is a genus in the family
Bacillaceae
. It currently comprises two species
Terrilactibacillus laevilacticus
and
Terrilactibacillus tamarindi
. Members of genus are distributed in soils and tree bark. This genus encompasses endospore‐forming rod‐shaped bacteria. Cells are Gram‐stain‐positive, facultatively anaerobic, and motile by means of peritrichous flagella. Colonies on glucose‐yeast‐peptone (GYP) agar plates were circular, convex, and ivory‐white.
