Abstract

A new optical system, called a “mirror‐transcending aerial imaging”, for freely displaying digital information beyond the boundary between a mirrored space and a real space is proposed. A prototype was implemented and was evaluated by measuring luminance of the displayed aerial images in real and mirrored spaces.
