Abstract
AbstractExchange of solvent protons or deuterons with acid groups in aqueous polyacid solutions may influence the observed proton and deuteron relaxation rates quite differently. It is shown that in the case of poly(acrylic acid) solutions of approx. 0.3 N, the deuteron relaxation rate is dominated by relaxation in polyacid groups and does not give information on the behaviour of hydrated water molecules
