Abstract

AbstractIn this paper, we study the global entropy solutions for the Cauchy problem of the isentropic gas dynamics system in a general nozzle with bounded initial date. First, we apply for the flux‐approximation technique coupled with the classical viscosity method to obtain the estimates of the viscosity solutions. Second, we prove the pointwise convergence of the approximation solutions by using the compactness framework for any adiabatic exponent .
