Abstract

Color Sequential Front‐lit LCOS (CSFLLCOS) is a compact (<0.5cc) and high brightness (110000nits/300mW) imaging solution for AR displays. However, as large FOV AR glasses i.e. >40 o become more and more popular, a higher brightness output requirement is imposed on the imager. A new LED coupling lens and waveguide plate structure have recently been proposed to promote the polarization recycling efficiency (PCE) and TpRs ratio respectively in CSFLLCOS. It is expected that the brightness will be 50% higher.
