Abstract

AbstractIntra‐abdominal mineralisations are common radiographic findings in cats. In this article, we present a 4‐year‐old domestic shorthair cat with an intra‐abdominal ectopic mummified mineralised fetus. The critical diagnostic criteria for identifying such ectopic mineralised fetus lie in radiographic observations, particularly the visualisation of distinct bone structures, including the skull, vertebra column and long bones. Being familiar with the radiographic appearance of ectopic fetal mineralisation may allow more specific and prompt diagnosis and appropriate treatment planning.
