Abstract
AbstractMore than 800 specimens of Chinese Ceriagrion were studied, almost a quarter were used for molecular analysis. Methods of cladistics, ABGD, jMOTU, bPTP, as well as morphology, were used for species delimitation. Nine species were identified and confirmed occurring in China. A taxonomic key of males was given. Two new synonyms (Ceriagrion chaoi to Ceriagrion bellona, Ceriagrion olivaceum to Ceriagrion azureum) were proposed, Ceriagrion malaisei was confirmed new to China, the distribution of Ceriagrion rubiae in China was eliminated, and three incorrect identifications were corrected.
