It is not uncommon for depression and sleep disturbances to occur during pregnancy. Trazodone, a triazolopyridine antidepressant that acts primarily as a serotonin (5‐HT) 2 receptor antagonist, is frequently prescribed at lower doses off‐label for the management of insomnia (Nierenberg et al., 1994).
