Abstract
SummaryEpidermal structure and stomatal development in the leaves and fruits of Dacryodes edulis has been reported for the first time. The leaves are hypostomatic. The mature stomata are of anomocytic, cyclocytic and paracytic type. The ontogeny of stomata in fruits is agenous, and eumesogenous, hemiperigenous and eumesoperigenous in the leaves.
