Abstract
AbstractA 4‐year‐old, female, entire, miniature, smooth‐haired dachshund was admitted for investigation of acute onset of spinal hyperalgesia and paraplegia. Ten days before presentation, the dog had undergone a caesarean section. Five dead/necrotic puppies were removed. A diagnosis of an aortic thrombosis was reached. Medical management resulted in a significant improvement of the neurological function. The aortic thrombosis was suspected to be secondary to the pregnancy and Caesarean section.
