P‐6.5: The Quantification Method of Halo Effect

Abstract

Mini‐LED has a number of dimming zones, when display showing with some zones emitting light, at the boundary of bright and dark patterns, it is easier to observe the halo, which will reduce the experience of users. In this study, we proposed a new quantification method of halo effect. The results showed that the larger the number of local dimming zones, the less obvious the halo effect, the better the image quality.
