Abstract
Actinic keratoses are common in the UK, especially in lighter skinned individuals and those with high lifetime UV exposure. As they are considered premalignant and can progress to squamous cell carcinoma, early identification and treatment are important. This article provides a guide to the prevention, recognition and management of actinic keratosis.
