Abstract
AbstractAcne represents the commonest inflammatory dermatosis seen worldwide and is the leading reason for seeing a dermatologist; a number of acne variants are described. In children, these include neonatal, infantile, mid‐childhood and prepubertal acne. Acne fulminans and acne conglobata represent severe but rare forms. Predisposing factors may be implicated in acneform dermatoses; these include medications, occupational and environmental triggers, cosmetics, systemic diseases and syndromes. This chapter describes all clinical variants and provides evidence‐based or expert opinion on management.
