Abstract
SummaryThe long-awaited 11th revision of the International Classification of Diseases (ICD-11) makes important advances but simultaneously compromises on some aspects, which may have a negative impact on clinical practice. This editorial illustrates the double-edged nature of some of the changes in ICD-11, focusing on mood disorders and specifically the subtyping of bipolar disorder.
