1. All the vessels of the Dura and Pia Mater were loaded with blood. The surface of the latter membrane was copiously moistened with a serous Effusion. The arachnoid coat was thick and opake over the convexities of the cerebral hemispheres, and the Texture of the Pia Mater generally distended with fluid. The lateral Ventricles were considerably larger than usual and contained an increased quantity of fluid; but they were not distended.
