Abstract

Indicators of physical development (PD) are important criteria for the state of health of children and adolescents, and their dynamics allows an objective assessment of the state of physical well-being and health in general. The study was conducted based on the results of preventive medical examinations at the Health Center for Children of 282 schoolchildren aged 7–17 years. Anthropometric indicators were measured (length and weight of the body, chest circumference, etc.), the harmony and pace of the PD were determined. According to the number of permanent teeth and the severity of secondary sexual characteristics, the biological age (BA) was determined. A decrease in the number of schoolchildren with BA, corresponding to the passport one, with a harmonious PD against the background of an increase in the proportion of boys and girls with extreme developmental options was revealed: body weight. Almost 70 % of schoolchildren examined in 2021 have minor or significant deviations in visual acuity and other visual impairments. There is also an increase in schoolchildren with violations of the form of posture and foot, with a decrease in physical capabilities against the background of a sedentary lifestyle.
