Abstract

The 2030 Agenda of the United Nations (UN) is characterized as a global governance plan that sets guidelines for States, public organizations, private companies and organized civil society based on sustainable development to guarantee the viability of life for future generations. generations. From 17 sustainable development goals (SDG) and their challenges. this article presents the results of theoretical bibliographic research, documents and critical descriptive analysis of initiatives involving practices of articulation of the 2030 Agenda with teaching, research and university extension, focusing on the proposal of a specific SDG for Culture, Art and Communication. We start from theoretical references that discuss the relevance of culture as a central axis to direct the transition of a paradigm shift towards what we can call Culture SDGs. To this end, we argue about the relevance of highlighting culture as an amalgam and the arts and communication as fundamental and strategic means for expanding social influence and expanding imaginaries around a new way of thinking about society based on the SDGs.
