Les terrains quaternaires littoraux des cotes de Provence occidentale

Abstract

Abstract The Quaternary littoral formations of the western Provence coast, France, consist principally of marine and dune formations. Four marine formations are described. Fossil sand dunes are found practically everywhere along this part of the coast, in most cases partly submerged. The stratigraphy of all the deposits is described in detail, and former sea levels deduced.
