Abstract
Abstract
Paleoclimatic conclusions are drawn from color variations in Quaternary sediments and fossil soils in the central French Pyrenees. They agree with results of similar observations in different parts of France. During glacial and interglacial fluctuations, the Quaternary climate of France became increasingly cold and reached a maximum in the Wuerm.
