Abstract
Abstract
Specimens of stromatolites from the Precambrian series of the western Ahaggar mountains in the central Sahara of southern Algeria have been classified and studied. 'Conophyton,' bedded reef types, and branching types have been distinguished in the material from different localities. Study of the latter type permits establishment of stratigraphic sections similar to those defined in the Russian Riphean (Precambrian).
