Abstract
Pulmonary decortication was performed on 14 cases for investigate the effect of early decortication on pulmonary function. Pulmonary function tests were measured before and four months after operation. We have determined significant incrases iA afi parameters which were measured after operatioA. lncreases in vital capacity (VC), maximum voluntary ventilation (MVV) and the first second (FEV1 /FVCO/o) were found statisticaly significant. The increases in pulmonary functions ot early and late decortication groups were compared; statisticaly, significant difference was not determined.
