Abstract
Using Polysome-seq, we identified active translation of previously known human snRNA (SNORD2402_22) which is lacking any obvious open reading frame (ORF). Using Selenocysteine pulldown experiment and subsequent RNAseq, we demonstrated incorporation of selenocysteine amino acid during SNORD2402_22 translation. Our proposed ORF utilizing UAG codons for selenocystein sheds light on SNORD2402_22 molecular function.
