Abstract
Subject. This article analyzes the development of high-tech production in Russia.
Objectives. The article aims to theoretically substantiate, develop and test a methodology for assessing the competitiveness of innovation systems in Russian regions.
Methods. For the study, we used a statistical analysis.
Results. The article presents a rating of innovative regions of Russia, which helps determine promising areas of economic development of the country.
Conclusions. The development of the regional innovation system is determined by external macroeconomic conditions, as well as internal economic, geographical, sectoral and technological factors.
