Abstract

Subject. This article examines the issues of social efficiency as the sum of direct and indirect efficiencies. Objectives. The article aims to determine the contribution of the non-profit sector of the economy to Russia's GDP and methodologically distinguish the concepts of direct and indirect efficiencies for non-profit organizations. Methods. For the study, I used the method of externality assessment developed by Arthur Pigou and Ronald Coase. Results. The article presents the results of an expert assessment of the weight of each indicator of indirect efficiency and the calculated values of direct, indirect and public efficiency of the non-profit sector of the Russian economy. Conclusions. The parametric value of indirect efficiency relative to direct efficiency makes it possible to reassess the contribution of Russian non-profit organizations to GDP in 2021 upwards.
