Abstract
Subject. Forecasting risks in the energy sector.
Objectives. Analysis of tools for assessing the functioning of national energy complexes.
Methods. Methods of comparative analysis are applied.
Results. A system of indicators for assessing the level of use of renewable energy sources both in the national economy and within the framework of a large economic union is proposed.
Conclusions. The distribution, absorption and mitigation of energy security risks requires the creation of special additional infrastructure. An objective assessment of the investment component and localization of the production base are needed.
