Geostrategic assessment of the transport and logistics capacity of the Russian cross-border regions

Abstract

Subject. This article discusses the issues related to strengthening of Russia's foreign economic relations. Objectives. The article aims to assess the role of the transport system in ensuring the growth of the key economic indicators of the Samara Oblast. Methods. For the study, we used a statistical analysis. Results. Based on the author-developed methodology, the article assesses the level of economic and spatial development of the transport and logistics complex of the Samara Oblast and justifies the need to create a bonded area and a logistics village. Relevance. The proposed methodology for assessing the transport and logistics capacity can be used to determine the core aspects of foreign economic activity of the cross-border region.
