Abstract

Subject. The article addresses the issues of Russia's technological sovereignty and food security. Objectives. The aim is to develop tools to increase innovation activity in Russian agriculture. Methods. In the course of the study, we employ methods of statistical observation, comparison, as well as the monographic method. Results. The paper determines that the innovative activity of agricultural organizations in Russia remains at a low level. It reveals factors hindering the development of innovation activity, analyzes modern methods of stimulating the innovative activity of agriculture in Russia and in foreign countries, assesses the implementation of State programs to promote innovations in agriculture. Conclusions. It is crucial to develop mechanisms for introducing innovations in agriculture. An important task is the integration of agricultural science and production.
