Abstract
Subject. This article discusses the development of enterprises of the energy industry in the context of investment reduction, approaches to the problem of investment, and issues of changing the policy of energy companies in the field of ecology.
Objectives. The article aims to analyze the implementation of the principles of social responsibility in the energy sector.
Methods. For the study, we used the methods of analysis and synthesis. Analytical reviews, scientific papers, and corporate and social reporting of companies are the key sources of information.
Results. The article presents the results of the analysis of the policy of top energy companies and some recommendations for its change.
Conclusions. The top energy industry companies are employing measures to improve ESG ratings and loyalty from investors, both private and institutional.
