Abstract
Subject. This article discusses the issues related to the family policy in Russia.
Objectives. The article aims to improve the mechanism of government stimulation of labor for the upbringing of children and grandchildren.
Methods. For the study, I used sociological, economic, and social and economic approaches.
Results. The article proposes a mechanism for government support of grandparental labor, combining elements of material and moral encouragements.
Relevance. The results of the study can be useful to public authorities responsible for the demographic and family policies making.
