Abstract
Subject. The article addresses issues of corporate social responsibility.
Objectives. The aim is to assess the development of corporate social responsibility principles at forestry enterprises.
Methods. The study draws on methods of comparative analysis.
Results. The activities of large Russian forest companies meet the world social standards of sustainable development. Meanwhile, medium-sized businesses, due to limited resources, comply with only part of requirements for sustainable development.
Conclusions. The findings can be used to design tools and directions of regional economic policy.
