Abstract
The growth of the intermaxillary space was investigated in a group of 25 females and the timing of orthodontic treatment was discussed in relation to growth. It was concluded that in order to obtain the maximum coincident growth, orthodontic treatment should be started prior to the time of the peak growth rate.
