Preliminary Investigation into the Movement of the Lower Labial Segment following Loss of First Premolars

Abstract

Fifty patients' models were examined to find the changes that had taken place in the lower labial segment following the loss of lower first premolars and observation for at least one year. Canines moved favourably into the extraction spaces. The changes in the incisors were not as good as those of the canines and reasons for this are discussed.
