Abstract
An efficient Ag-promoted decarboxylative cyclization of α-oxocarboxylic acids with (E)-3-
(2-aminophenyl)-1-phenylprop-2-en-1-ones has been developed to afford a series of functionalized
quinolines in moderate to good yields. This method was compatible with a variety of functional groups
and provided an attractive method toward phenyl(2-phenylquinolin-3-yl)methanones.
