Abstract
It is demonstrated that equations for the velocity ratio during the flow of two-phase gas/liquid mixtures through sharp-edged orifice plates, developed under incompressible flow conditions, are applicable to compressible flow conditions. Pressure ratios down to 0.1, and choked and unchoked flow conditions, are examined.
