Abstract
The article presents fundamentals and implementation of a multi-unit system for evaluation of a grinding wheel. The system includes a complex set of prognoses that are formulated using artificial neural network modeling. The system was designed with the aid of experimental data, which was obtained from the measurement of grinding wheel cutting surface, using the stylus method. The prognostics model of grinding wheel topography, models of potential cutting properties and operational properties of grinding wheel were developed.
