Abstract
Summary. Aim. Study of the influence of the method of surgical intervention on the course of pain syndrome in the early postoperative period.
Materials and methods. The experience of treating 25 patients with rectus abdominis diastasis and rectus abdominis diastasis in combination with anterior abdominal wall hernias is presented. Patients have been divided into control (n = 12) and main (n = 13) groups. The influence of various methods of surgical treatment – laparotomy (control group) and laparoscopic (main group) – on the intensity of pain in the early postoperative period and on the need for the analgesic dexketoprofen (50 mg intramuscularly) have been studied.
Results. Pain was statistically significantly less in the main group only on Day 5, but the frequency of painkillers administered by day 3 after surgery in the main group was 1.5-2 times lower than in the control group. On Day 5, the need for pain relief in the main group disappeared, although in the control group the need for pain relief occurred once a day.
Conclusions. It is proved that after laparoscopic methods of surgical treatment of patients with rectus abdominis diastasis, the need for postoperative anesthesia is significantly reduced, and after the 5th day after the operation there is no need at all.
