Abstract
A common dental condition known as tooth decay is brought on by a combination between microbes and fermented sugars. Traditional preventive measures, such as oral hygiene practices and fluoride treatments, have proven effective in lowering the prevalence of cavities in the mouth. However, these approaches have limitations in terms of their effectiveness and accessibility. Caries vaccination has emerged as a promising approach to preventing dental caries, offering long-lasting protection against this disease. This abstract provides an overview of the prospects of caries vaccines, including their potential benefits, challenges, and limitations. While caries vaccines remain an area of active research and development, there are several promising prospects that suggest that by this approach potential cavity formation may be effectively avoided particularly. Ongoing research and evaluation of caries vaccines will be necessary to fully understand their potential benefits and risks and to develop safe and effective vaccines that can be widely used to prevent dental caries.
