Abstract
The SIGGRAPH education committee has been considering recommedations for inclusion of graphics in various curricula for higher education. Several issues of computer graphics in computer science or computer science/engineering curricula are identified here. Recommendations as outlined in this paper are being prepared through the SIGGRAPH education committee, and feedback by interested parties is needed and encouraged. Emphasis is on the enlarged scope of material available for graphics courses, and the need to identify legitimate "core" material for all undergraduates and elective material for students with strong interest in graphics specialization.
