Abstract
Computer systems
1
have become an important part of today's businesses. These systems are commonly used to support the major business functions --- accounting, finance, management, marketing, and production. In the past, professionals relied on data processing (and computer science) personnel to successfully develop computer systems currently used in the decision making process. As computer system utilization increased in business applications, problems developed concerning the acceptability and performance of these systems. The widespread integration of computer systems into areas of business has resulted in a need for clear communication between the user/client and data processing personnel.
