Abstract
It is argued that the elimination of goto-statements within the context of structured programming has often been achieved through the introduction of 'goto-patches'. Seven common goto-patches are identified and exemplified. Finally, it is suggested that the control structures used in 'pancode' make it possible to eliminate goto-patches as well as goto-statements.
