Abstract
Handling in workflow management systems (WFMSs) is very important since it is not possible to specify all possible outcomes and alternatives beforehand. In this regard, we have been developing ADOME-WFMS to address the problem of workflow exception handling. ADOME is an active OODBMS extended with role facilities for supporting the dynamic features required for online exception handling. Our WFMS features advanced modeling, integrated environment, and effective coordination of human resources [1].
