Abstract

In this paper we describe several advantages of integrating the declarative, logic-based language, Prolog, with conventional relational database management systems. We then explain a file conversion procedure which can be used to exchange information between systems. The result is a research environment in which the user can derive maximum benefit from both Prolog and relational database systems.
