Abstract
Islam provides guidance on personal, social, political, economic, moral, and spiritual affairs of life, for both individual and society. The article reviewed Islamic documents on the care of the dying patient and the deceased. Issues relating to caring from an Islamic perspective ranging from sickness, dying, death, burial, and bereavement were covered. Muslims expressed concerns during the end-of-life care, especially on issues related to care of the dying and the deceased. Knowledge of Islamic principles surrounding death and dying may improve care and decrease conflicts among members of palliative and end-of-life care team.
