Abstract

Today, knee arthroscopy (AKS) is the operation of choice in the treatment of meniscus damage of the knee joint. Many studies have proven the safety and minimal invasiveness of this method of surgical treatment, and the risks of possible complications of the intervention, in general, do not exceed 5 % [1]. This article provides a review of modern literature data and analyzes the experience of using femoral nerve block during knee arthroscopy in a short-term hospital on the basis of the State Budgetary Healthcare Institution of the City Clinical Hospital named after. S. P. Botkin.
